There are only 4 days left until Women Like Us star board member Terry Kaiser and women of all ages board a plane to Kenya - a country of extraordinary beauty and people. Women Like Us Foundation visited Kenya last year. The instant connection with people and eagerness to help communities and tribes in need all around the country made Women Like Us Foundation organize this year’s 11-day trip that will be led by Terry.
The trip includes traveling and exploring various locations throughout the country, daily and evening safaris and, most importantly, the opportunity to meet and help women and children of Kenya. We simply cannot wait to see the children of N A Noel School and hold educational workshops, meet with the teachers and help as much as we can to make lives of these children better.
During our trip, we will also visit Olmalaika Home . The girls who live in this home have been victims of female genital mutilation and rescued from early childhood marriage. Women Like Us Foundation has partnered with Pastoralist Child Foundation to bring workshops to several Maasai villages in 2018 which we will also be visiting! These educational workshops will educate young boys and girls about the illegal practice of female genital mutilation, HIV, early childhood pregnancy, and teach self-esteem to the children and the tribe adults. Last but not the least, we will reconnect with Ann Kabui, founder of Victorious Teens, who is making a major impact for Kenyan teens.
We are super excited to visit this beautiful country and take part in educating and helping its people.
