As many of you know, Women Like Us just hosted a One Girl At A Time Red Carpet campaign in Los Angeles. A huge success in many aspects and we are eternally thankful for all who participated, volunteered, and in general made it a wonderful night! In this coming October, the annual Afternoon Tea will be benefitting the same program. Girls Are Worth It is a mentorship program helping young females learn, grow, and follow their dreams here in our very own communities.

However, did you know that the Women Like Us reach is not bounded by the United States borders? Our mission is to support women-led causes and females all across the globe.

In Costa Rica, Women Like Us has supplied school books and uniforms for the 21 students enrolled, bicycles for older students to ride to the high school 4 miles away, provided a well for better water, and painted and updated the building.

In India, we have raised funds for a girls dormitory, books and computers and funded educational and health programs. The goal is to allow these children to improve conditions in their lives and the lives of their families.

In Uganda, we support the efforts of the birthing center as well as the very needy New Hope School and Orphanage in Entebbe. In the past we have raised over $15,000 to fund birthing kits, hospital beds, and the education and sustainability of the project.

Women Like Us is constantly helping women-led causes to not only supply them with physical necessities, but to build a self-sustaining program that allows the women to learn and prosper on their very own.
