Diversity Through Arts Chapter Created- August 2011
The Diversity Through Arts Chapter was created to connect locals in networking community that combines artists and entrepreneurs.

WLUF Hires English Teacher - July 2011
WLUF welcomes Addison, a woman from Indiana, to be the English teacher of the children of our Carbon 1 school in Costa Rica.

Sound of Soweto Chapter  Created- July 2011
The Sound of Soweto Chapter was formed with the goal of further education to Soweto Academy in the Kibera Slums in Nairobi, Kenya.

Kids4aCause Chapter Created- June 2011
Kids4aCause empowers children, with the help of their families and adult volunteers, to aid disadvantaged women and their families throughout the world.

Vibrant Life Chapter Joins WLUF- January 2011
Vibrant Life Chapter is dedicated to helping people dream like kids, without limits, to find their purpose and passion in life.

Women Like Us Foundation Annual Report - January 2011
Over $130,000 donated to causes and projects.

First Shanit Uganda Baby Born - January 2011
On January 28, 2011 at 2:19pm (Uganda time) a 6.6lb baby girl was welcomed into the world at Shanti Uganda Birth House, the first Shanti baby!

2010

Friends of Linawo Chapter Raise Money for New Home - October 2010
Friends of Linawo Chapter raised over $15,000 to help support Linawo's move to a new home in South Africa. The funds also provided money for a play structure, new beds, and equipment for organizing their indoor play area.

Second annual Costa Rica trip - October 18-25, 2010
The following items were the results:

• a first-time water source from the spring in the mountains
• 12 refinished needed desks
• 80 trees to counter erosion from the river
• school supplies
• classroom equipment
• photos of each of the children and their families
• fluoride treatments
• two pigs for the women's coop

Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine of Serbia visits WLUF - October 2010
Princess Katherine, a long-time friend of Women Like Us Foundation and also an International Advisory Board member, provides media interviews with Indianapolis' top TV and radio stations. She assisted in promoting WLU Afternoon Tea and the Foundation in general.

WLUF Afternoon Tea and Speaker Series - October 15, 2010
Speakers: Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine of Serbia, First Lady of Indiana Winnie Ballard, Philanthropist Lorene Burkhart, and Diane Thomas, president of International Center of Indianapolis.

Uganda Birthing Center Opened - September 2010
Women Like Us Foundation has been pleased to partner with Shanti Uganda in raising funds that helped open a birthing center in a rural area of Uganda, Africa.

Hollywood Chapter Joins WLUF - July 2010 
The Hollywood Chapter is focused on supporting self-esteem and mentoring middle school aged girls in the inner city of Los Angeles through supplying school supplies and personal appearance assistance.

Picture Me Project Chapter j\Joins WLUF- January 2010
Picture Me Project provides the gift of photography to those who would not otherwise have access to having their picture taken.
 

2009

Friends of Linawo Chapter Created - December 2009
The Chapter's goal is to support children in Cape Town, South Africa. Over $12,500 was raised the first month.

WLUF Gift Catalog Released - December 2009
Women Like Us Foundation released a Gift Catalog with the artwork designed by Nelson Mandela and Nancy Noel.

NA Noel Preschool Chapter becomes Women Like Us Founding Chapter - November 2009
International Artist, Nancy Noel, supports a preschool in Kenya and hopes to get others involved in making a difference with the children there.

Costa Rica Humanitarian/Adventure Trip - November 2009
A Women Like Us Scholarship has been awarded to a high achiever student, Susan Lynn, from Manual High School in Indianapolis, IN. Susan is a 4.0 student and in Spanish Level 5 class.

Women Like Us Afternoon Tea and Speaker Series - October 21, 2009
(Attended by 300 women) Speakers: Dr. Sue Morter, Deanna Dewberry/WISH-TV, Angela Ganote/Fox 59, Anne Marie Tiernon/WTHR-TV, Prabhavati Dwabha from India.

WLUF Offices Open! - October 2009
Women Like Us Foundation is organized and opens their offices at 49 South Elm St, Zionsville, IN 46077

Sioux Indian Reservation in South Dakota - June 2009
Women Like Us Scholarships were awarded to two high school girls from Starfish Initiative to participate on this humanitarian trip.

Women Like Us Afternoon Tea and Speaker Series Inaugural Event- March 17, 2009
Speakers: Patricia Miller/President and Founder of Vera Bradley, Pam Faeber - President of Bee Windows, and Chick Big Crow - Executive Director of SuAnne Big Crow Boys and Girls Club on Sioux Indian Reservation. Attended by 220 women.
