About Us

History

Based on the book, Women Like Us: Real Stories and Strategies for Living Your Best Life, by Linda Rendleman, an inspirational tea and speaker series was created by Linda and Dr. Sally Brown Bassett to expand on the theme of the common threads which run through women's lives. Our stories are singular, but our passions are shared. After the initial success, the Women Like Us Foundation was created to inspire and empower women and under-served girls to make a difference globally and locally.

Mission

Women Like Us Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging, empowering and engaging women and girls to make a difference globally and locally.

Goals

Our mission is accomplished in a number of ways, including implementing Women Like Us Afternoon Tea and Speakers Series, raising funds for sustainable global projects, supporting women to start their own WLU Chapters, offering short-term humanitarian trips, and through a mentoring program for high school girls.

About the Co-Founders

Dr. Sally Brown Bassett, President and Co-Founder of Women Like Us Foundation, is also a humanitarian, world traveler, and yogi. After traveling to over 130 countries, this foundation has evolved with Sally's desire to make more of an impact with sustainable global projects. Sally also enjoys mixing yoga when leading international retreats due to her studio, Peace through Yoga, started in 2003.

Linda Rendleman, M.S. Co-Founder and CEO of Women Like Us Foundation, is an award-winning writer, speaker, and business woman. She is the author of the book, Women Like Us: Real Stories and Strategies for Living Your Best Life, and creator of the Women Like Us Book Series. Linda brings her energetic message to women's events across the nation. She is currently developing the Women Like Us Series with a focus on real stories and strategies for growth and inspiration on several topics as they pertain to women. Her company, Business Women Connect, has motivated and inspired women to be their very best since 2001.
